The past few days we have been doing a Literacy Theme called Exploring The Ocean. How this work's is we have 20 stars to complete on our literacy site over three weeks. Stars means completed task and count for points. Out of the tasks I chose to do a Persuasive Writing task. I think that I went well with this piece of writing, but one thing to improve on is adding more puncuation end editing.
So what you had to do for this task is pick a topic and Persuade them about the chosen task, by writing a page worth of writing.
Here is my work down below: My topic was Reducing Littering in NZ.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was reading your blog post I noticed how much you had improved since your last blog post. You have used Miss Gloag's feedback on that post to make sure that you have checked through this one, which is fantastic!
In your persuasive writing, I saw that you used a lot of persuasive writing features like: emotive language, capital letters to emphasise parts, exclamation marks and using an influential person's speech, like our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern. These are really great things to use to help someone relate to your opinion. To improve, you could check through your ideas and make sure that they aren't repeated from one paragraph to the next, otherwise your reader will lose interest in what you are saying and maybe not read through to the end of your story.
Keep up the great literacy and blogging work, Jamie!
